The Antigua and Barbuda Sotheby’s International Realty team attended the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show 2022 to showcase the unique luxury investment opportunities in Antigua and Barbuda, especially in and around the heart of the yachting capital, English Harbour.

The Monaco Yacht Show has been committed to promoting creative excellence in the world of super yachting by exhibiting some of the world’s most luxurious yachts for sale and chartering, yachting experts and superyacht industry businesses.

This year, the show welcomed 118 superyachts for sale or charter and 530 companies from across the distinguished industry. The event layout offered different experiences to include a sustainability hub – which raised awareness on the environmental issues surrounding the Monegasque and international yachting community and a first-time adventure section where the Antigua and Barbuda booth was located.

The four-day event embraced a diverse cultural representation where Antigua and Barbuda had the pleasure of hosting a rum night. It was a cultural explosion with a rum selection no other than our favorite, English Harbour rum, a live performance by a Trumpetist covering local music such as “Sweet Antigua” by Drastic and a carnival costume display keeping the vibe exciting. Besides, our twin island’s vibrant booth, we had the pleasure of getting acquainted with the South Pacific booth and indulged in their traditional “Kava” drink distributed by Polynesian men wearing their traditional attire. The “kava” distribution is believed to develop new social contacts between people which makes this experience even more meaningful. The adventure area offered attendees a sight of new technology with its display selection of daytrip and sports tenders, luxury and off-road vehicles, water toys, high-tech gadgets and everything that you can think of to enhance any destination experience.

It was a great opportunity connecting with industry experts, many who visit annually to attend the Antigua Charter Yacht Show and Antigua Sailing Week. We were delighted to greet new faces at the Antigua and Barbuda booth and plan for their next holiday to paradise.
